Pinxton History Society

Meetings are held at SN Post Mill Centre the fourth Monday in the month, or the third Monday if the fourth is a Bank Holiday, and refreshments are available.

Membership is £12.00 annually and allows free admission to the monthly meetings, plus two excursions and a quarterly newsletter.
Guests are welcome to any meeting for £2.00. Professional speakers at most meetings covering a large range of subjects, local history related. Recent topics covered/to be covered include Derbyshire surnames, the origin of nursery rhymes, the Crich Tramway, the Forest and highway robbery, the history of Sheffield, the Pentrich Revolution and other local history topics.
